Erik T. Dworak is the President of Green Acres Ironworks, Inc. based in Green Acres, Indiana. Erik’s passion for construction started at a young age. He was only four years old when he built his first table and chairs. Erik’s interest in ironwork began during his summer and winter breaks from school in 1996 and 1997 while he worked for Chicago’s Finest Ornamental Ironworks in his hometown of Lansing, Illinois. It is at Chicago's Finest Ornamental Ironworks where he learned to love the ornamental iron industry.  His propensity for building became a common theme in his life which lead him to graduating from Purdue University in 2001 with a Bachelors in Construction Engineering and Management degree.

After graduation, Erik went on to work for Clark Construction for six years and made the leap to Walsh Construction’s Chicago headquarters in 2007 to work as a commercial building steel estimator. He then took a job for a steel fabricator called PKM, named for the founder Paul K. Mai.  PKM made him an offer he couldn’t refuse….working from home, starting up a Chicago division for their Salina, Kansas based company. Erik dominated his division as a specialized steel estimator and became highly regarded as the top resource for all structural steel related questions.

After spending 10 years working for some of the largest general contractors in the United States, Erik decided it was time to operate his own business working in a field that he has mastered over the years...ornamental metals. In March of 2011, Green Acres Ironworks, Inc. was established as a sole proprietorship and in 2014, it became a corporation. Erik continues to pursue his passion for fabrication and installation of ornamental ironwork.
